College Campus

I am planning a College Treasure Hunt. The hunt will be held on the college campus which is around 800-1000 acres or maybe more. I would like the hunt to be full of riddles, brain teasers, tasks, and clues... The duration of the hunt will be 6-8 hrs.

College Treasure Hunt Response:

Hi Mita!

The type of hunt you want to hold requires a lot more information. It would be impossible to create a hunt like that without knowing where clues would be hidden, what items would be hidden, etc.

I can certainly help you with ideas if you post some of the hiding locations or some of the items you want to hide in the comment box below - one detailed item/location at a time.

It's not clear if you want to use clues to go from place to place and then arrive at a treasure or if you also want to collect items along the way so maybe you could clarify that also.

A simple example of a clue leading to a challenge might be:

Somewhere around the picture of the man that founded this college is a number. That number corresponds with a locker number on campus. Find that locker and you'll find a clue to the location of the combination you will need to open the locker and find your next clue.

Important note: I don't know if there is a picture of anyone hanging at your school. I don't know if you have lockers or whether you use combinations or keys to open them if you do. I also don't know if your lockers are numbered. I hope this will give you an idea of the kind of detail that is needed to assist with ideas for this college treasure hunt.

Suggestions Please
by: Yuti

I want to conduct this game in my college. It is a medical college with a hospital in it. Also there are hostels in my campus, a library, a temple, photo of Gandhiji, laboratories, statue of Dhanvantari, a garden, parking place.

I want treasure to hunt. What should I use as a treasure? How many clues to be used, meaning in number? What should the clues be? Please give me some ideas. I don't want to give any time limit. Whoever finishes first will be the winner.

Response: Can you give me the name of the College so I can look it up online and give you some specific ideas?

We are planning a treasure hunt in our college. We have full campus for ours. Please suggest some riddles for different places such as canteen, garden, building, computer lab, library. Please suggest some clues to me as soon as possible. Clues might be riddles. Please tell me. I am waiting.

Response: If you are leading teams from one room to another to look for a clue then a sample clue might be...

To find your next clue, go to the room that would not have been available in schools prior to the 1980s, but whose equipment is now carried by most students in a portable version.

zoo hunt

I am planning a treasure hunt in my college for guys from other colleges. I want to make it zoology oriented and a bit wild. I plan to organize along the lines of the amazing race with pit stops and detours. In one clue, guys would have to search in a tub full of worms for their next clue. In another clue, they would have to use every means possible to persuade my friend to climb up a tree and hand them over their next clue. However I don't seem to be getting any more clues or activities.

I am interested in doing something like this as well. We are planning a scavenger hunt for our sorority and a fraternity. We want them to have to do things like collect 5 pennies from 5 different strangers and things like that and possibly lead them back us. I can come up with the clues to lead them to each spot. I just need suggestions on things to make them do (which will be worth points) and take pictures while they do it.
