Hobo Hang Out and Campfire

For an inexpensive, but fun fall party idea, try a Hobo Hang Out. Everyone comes dressed in hobo costumes. Goodwill or resale shops have super funny get ups!

Each guest brings an item (a canned good) to put in the hobo stew.

The stew is cooking on a campfire or fire pit. The empty cans are washed and used as the dish to serve the stew in.

Hay bales, pumpkins, and nothing fancy are used for the decorations.

This is especially fun in fall weather and dressing up in costumes is fun around Halloween.

We send the hobos out on a scavenger hunt. The neighbors really get a kick out of the costumes and are more than eager to help out with the hilarious items requested.

My Hobo Party Blast!!! ♥
by: K.N.W

During this summer we were in the middle of a move so for my thirteenth birthday party I had a hobo theme! It was really fun and everyone enjoyed themselves.

We slept in tents, roasted marshmallows, told scary (and extremely funny) stories, and played games such as assigning hobo names.

For another game we played trash picker where we made a "trash" that was filled with fake garbage and hid a dollar bill and made the guests search for the bill in the least amount of time (the smallest time got a hobo prize such as a root beer, bracelet kit, glow sticks, etc.) There were other games too that we thought of on our own.

For food we just had a cook out, which was great. I hope this helped with your hobo party and remember the best ideas are your own!!! :)

Amazing!!!

What an idea. You wouldn't know how much fun it was until you get to the resale shops and try on the goofy outfits! This was hilarious. I'm looking forward to the stew and scavenger hunt. This would be great for family & friends, or even a birthday.
