My Golden Birthday

Since it is my golden birthday I want to send out golden tickets exactly like the ones from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. What kind of material is that and where can I get it? I'm inviting about 12 people so I want it to be pretty cheap too.

My Golden Birthday Response:

What a great idea. I have no idea what the tickets are made of. I've purchased gold foil from flower shops before, but it crinkles.

There is foil wrapping paper, but I doubt you can print on it with a computer printer. You could probably write on it though with permanent marker. In that case, it would be so fun to design a golden birthday candy bar wrapper invitation around a candy bar. Include a note on the wrapper stating that if a golden ticket is found inside, the finder is invited to the party listed on the wrapper. You could then use markers or stickers to print WINNER on the gold wrapping foil.
