My daughter wants to have an
Outdoor Summer Tween Pizza Party with lot's of fun games. The girls are ages 11-13 and I just don't know what's fun at that age.
My daughter really wants to play games, but what? And how do I get what I need with little time and money??? HELP ME!!!!
Outdoor Summer Tween Pizza Party Response:Hi Lillyana!
Competitive games are usually fun outdoors. There are a lot of traditional lawn games like ring toss, horseshoes, lawn bowling, and croquet that you could probably borrow the necessary equipment for from friends. Have the girls compete and give them tickets for each win. They can later trade the tickets for small prizes or treats. You could also have them put the tickets in a draw for a larger prize.
Biggie size traditional lawn games. For example, set up large dowels or poles and try to toss hula hoops over them. You could even have the girl try to toss the hula hoops over each other.
Water games are always fun.
Play Water Limbo in the same way regular limbo is played only squirt water from a hose instead. The girls will get soaked, but have lots of fun doing it.
Play Sponge Water Relay by putting two margarine tins or small coffee cans at one end of the yard (make sure they're level) and two large buckets of water at the other end. Divide into two teams. On your go the first person on each team dips their sponge in the water bucket and then runs across to the small containers on the other side and wrings out her sponge, runs back and gives the sponge to the next person on the team who does the same, etc. This continues till one teams makes their container overflow and is declared the winner. Usually this game ends in a big water fight. Very fun.
There's a great
Musical Fashion Show game that can be played indoors or outdoors. The more outrageous the clothing items, the more fun this game is AND be sure to have a camera handy.
Finally, you'll find tons of scavenger hunt ideas at
https://www.diva-girl-parties-and-stuff.com. The jigsaw puzzle one is especially low cost and easy to set up.
Hope this helps!
